Boston Farmers Markets
With many locations across Boston, you can buy affordable, healthy, and fresh local produce at local farmers markets.
Even after summer markets end, fresh fruits and vegetables are still available in Boston! Visit the "Markets and Programs" tab below to view a list of Boston's winter markets. To see a map of winter markets across the state, visit Mass Farmers Market's 2023-2024 Winter Markets Map.
Click here to view OFJ's Winter Produce Guide, available in 13 languages. This guide provides resources to access fresh produce during the winter— with or without SNAP benefits.
Most Boston farmers markets accept the:
- Healthy Incentives Program (HIP), and
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP or food stamps) benefits on an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card.
Markets and Programs
Farmers MarketsThe Farmers Market Coupon Program aims to make fresh food accessible for households experiencing food insecurity, prioritizing those who do not qualify for other food resources, especially immigrant and refugee households.
The program runs from July to October. Coupon booklets of up to $25 in value are distributed monthly by community organizations and healthcare centers across Boston. Coupons can be used at any City of Boston farmers market (*except SoWa market) to purchase fresh produce, dairy products, eggs, meats and seafood, dried goods, baked goods such as bread, and seeds or seedlings.
